La Revue No. 1, 2014 — Hiroshi Sugimoto
This issue, a true tribute to Hiroshi Sugimoto, is rooted in The World is Dead Today,
a story written by Sugimoto for his 2014 exhibition in the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, that is juxtaposed against his own eclectic antiques collection, and never before seen images of his works, all recounting the end of modernity.
The contents include a conversation between Sugimoto and Hans Ulrich Obrist, and contributions by renowned architect Jacques Herzog, Akiko Miki, Daniel Birnbaum and the reprint of an archival article from Roger Vitrac about Brancusi in Cahiers d’Art 1929.
