Kandinsky, Etching for Cahiers d’Art, Signed, 1930

Wassily Kandinsky 1866 – 1944. First etching for Cahiers d’art editions, 1930. Original etching with drypoint. Nice proof on wove paper, signed but not numbered. From an initial print run of 40 numbered prints. Proof with large margins dedicated to Will Grohman and dated Dessau, 30 / VI / (19) 30.

Sheet size: 32 x 26 cm. Pattern size: 21.5 x 16 cm.

In-4 (285 x 233 mm),paperback. First edition of Will Grohmann’s study on Vassily Kandinsky, with 74 “plates” of reproductions, 29 pages of illustrated text with several drawings, 58 plates in collotypy. Illustrated with an original woodcut  in colors by Vassily KANDINSKY. Limited edition of 610 numbered copies.
