Ai Weiwei, Fragment of the Cover of the Mueller Report, 2019

In 2020, Ai Weiwei presented two parallel exhibitions at Cahiers d’Art – the artist’s first exhibitions in Paris: The Mueller Report and The Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen. The Mueller Report, a development of Ai’s experimentation with LEGO bricks, entirely filled the gallery at 14 rue du Dragon. Made with thousands of LEGO bricks, the work depicts the front page of the 450-page Mueller Report’s documentation of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US Presidential election.

Ai Weiwei presents The Mueller Report in a fragmented, unique edition of 108, with each piece in LEGO measuring 38.2 x 38.2 x 1 cm, and presented in a custom box.
