Gabriel Orozco

Gabriel Orozco is a Mexican artist known for his geometric and conceptual work, inspired by the environment that surrounds him.

In 2016, Orozco was invited to be the lead artist for the 2016-2017 issue of the Cahiers d’Art Revue, and was given the opportunity to create a limited edition of the magazine. Orozco chose to compose an original silkscreen print as a cover for the Revue.

This signed and numbered silkscreen on crystal paper thus became a work of art on paper in the strict sense of the word. The silkscreen exists in two formats, together with similar and drawings.  He uses, faithful to his universe, primary colors and abstract and conceptual geometric forms. His geometric forms celebrate movement, expansion, circularity, and the articulation between the geometric and the organic.
