William Kentridge

William Kentridge is a South African cartoonist, performer and director.

Best known for his cartoons, the central element of Kentridge’s work is an examination of history and life in the years before and after apartheid. To tell his stories, the artist confuses his autobiography with that of fictional characters, giving his ink and charcoal drawings an expressive character.

He creates in 2015 Unremember Me, which can also be seen in La Revue 2015 – Picasso Dans l’atelier.

Unremember Me, 2015. Lithograph on Japanese paper. Signed and numbered, edition of 36 plus 7 artist’s proofs. 38 x 48 cm (15 x 18 7/8 in)
