Lithography differs from other techniques by its approach close to drawing.
This is one of the reasons why Arruda wanted to explore this medium. In 2018, while he was in residence in France, Cahiers d’Art gave him the opportunity to try his hand at lithography and decided to produce some of them for his exhibition Deserto Modelo. Between initiation, trial and error and demands, this series is the fruit of a long research and remains faithful to the artist’s universe. He builds his landscapes from memory, and tries to capture the light in them. This series of lithographs was produced in Michael Woolworth’s workshops.
