Pablo Picasso by Christian Zervos
A Modern Masterpiece is Reborn:
Presentation of the catalogue raisonné of Picasso by Sir John Richardson, Philip Hook and Staffan Ahrenberg
In 1932, Cahiers d’Art published the first volume of the Picasso Catalogue, a project prepared by Christian Zervos in partnership with Picasso himself. This massive undertaking became Zervos’s life work and one of the most influential pieces of scholarship on the 20th century’s most renowned artist. At long last, this historic 33-volume set is available again. The original catalogue, with corrections from Picasso Administration, is now available in French and in English for the first time.
“There are many catalogs of Picasso’s work, but art dealers tend to speak of the Zervos…with reverence.”
